In cooperation with the local architectural association from the Architectural Association Rhineland -Palatinate, the Department of Architecture at the University of Kaiserslautern provides a gallery in „Rosenstraße“ for the presentation and discussion of architectural themes.
The focus is on the presentation of university academic and research work, which is inseparably linked with questions about contemporary architecture. In addition to the presentation of study projects there are also thematic exhibitions and lecture series dealing with regional and local matters.
So in the centre of Kaiserslautern, right next to the Union cinema, there is a place where architecture as a part of everyday life can be discussed with the general public. In accompaniment to this, exhibitions from other branches such as photography or stage construction explore the cultural relevance of architecture. The gallery is run solely using third-party funds and with the support of the architectural associations Kaiserslautern, Kusel and Donnersbergkreis from the Architectural Association Rhineland-Palatinate.
